The Harvest Ride Event - Saturday Sept. 22th, 2018

We invite people of all ages and biking abilities to join us on a lively, fall bike ride.  Choose from two different bike routes: 30 relatively flat miles or 62 miles with a climb up Hawk Mountain.

There will be multiple rest stops with attendants, beverages, health bars, Gatorade and wraps.

Relax with refreshments after the ride at the Velodrome. Everyone is welcome to join us for a post picnic party with food, Gatorade and beer.

Our routes accommodate different biking abilities and experience.  Both are clearly marked with road paint and bikers will be provided with cue sheets and emergency contact numbers for support volunteers.

Choose Your Ride

Harvest - 30 miles

This route is over soft rolling hills of the scenic Pennsylvania countryside, along roads where you are more likely to see a horse and buggy than an automobile. You will ride past quiet corn fields, silos and old farm houses, and soak up the Harvest charm of Amish country in late September. There is a rest stop at mile 15 with water, gatorade, snacks, and chicken wraps. See the bike course on ridewithgps.com

Hawk Mountain - 62 miles

This ride is over low traffic scenic country roads that take you out of the valley. Along this route you will also see corn fields and old farm houses and you will enjoy the views of the foliage and harvest farmlands with an optional climb up Hawk mountain. There will be three rest stops, miles 16, 32, and 48 with water, gatorade, sacks and chicken wraps. See the bike course on ridewithgps.com
